U.S. presidential candidate announced former Republican Rick Santorum support for the rival Republican candidate Mitt Romney is likely, in a move that could help the latter to win the votes of religious conservatives in the race to the Chair in the White House.
Santorum said in a statement issued last night is rare that he and Romney have differences, but he left a meeting with the former Massachusetts governor, Romney impressed by understanding the "deep" to economic issues and the family which occupies the lead in the U.S. presidential campaign.
Santorum said, "First of all we agreed on the need to defeat President Barack Obama, the task will not be easy, and will require the cooperation of everyone if we want our candidate to succeed."
Santorum said in a statement sent by e-mail to his supporters, "Governor Romney will be the candidate, and I gave him my consent and my support to win the most important elections in modern history."
And socially conservative Santorum was a former member of the Senate of Pennsylvania, and won in 11 states in the primaries to choose the Republican candidate to run for president against Democrat Obama in the sixth of November, and knew very opposing abortion and gay rights.
Santorum and violently clash with Romney repeatedly through a number of televised debates, but his support for Romney now may win the Republican candidate is likely to support religious conservatives.
Declined by Santorum's support Romney, but he publicly said that this changed after the meeting "for the liquidation of the atmosphere" with Romney last Friday.
