Google Play Store has reached 15 billion downloads

The number of applications downloaded from the online store Google Play Store exceeded 15 billion. According to the Google, the result has been obtained "a few weeks ago," but the company decided not to give it more publicity. In December last year, said application store downloads 10 billion (then it was called the Android Market). Previously, Google gave a forecast that the number of downloads per month will increase by one billion. But in fact the threshold in the 15 billion downloads managed to cross ahead of schedule.

For comparison, Apple App Store, which began work a few months before the store of Google, has reached its 15-billionth download in July last year, and in March jumped 25-billion-dollar barrier. In turn, Microsoft, busy cleaning your Windows Phone Marketplace, is not eager to discuss the number of downloaded applications for the public. I think everything goes without saying - after discussing it, in fact, nothing.
