In the Caucasus today, there was an earthquake

Fairly strong earthquake occurred today in Georgia. Tremors felt in the neighboring Armenia, Azerbaijan and Dagestan. It is reported that as a result of the disaster had damaged dozens of homes.

Top of aftershocks were recorded in 08 hours 40 minutes Moscow time. As reported in the Centre for Seismic Monitoring of the State University of Elijah, the earthquake magnitude reached 5.8 points. According to some other reports, the tremors have the force of 5.5 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter was located about 1 km from the village of Zemo Kedi, and 22 km from the city Dedoplistskaro that in eastern Georgia, local seismologists said. Tremors were felt in the mountains between the towns and Zagatala Gah, there are no houses, because of special damage were reported.

In addition, a fairly strong aftershocks felt the residents of several areas in eastern Georgia and in Tbilisi. Frightened by the repeated blows disaster, residents of several dozen high-rise buildings rushed out into the streets. As they say in the National Seismological Service in Dedoplistskaroyskom and some other parts of the country cracks appeared in dozens of homes and buildings.

Earthquake felt in neighboring republics such as Dagestan. According to the press service of the Republican State Russian Emergencies Ministry in the territory of Dagestan, about 8:45 one-time seismic shock was felt in different parts of the country. Emergency Specialists clarify whether the victims were affected, as well as the destruction of residential buildings.
